D-backs announcers freak out over lightning strike during weather delay in Colorado

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies nearly made it through their game Sunday afternoon before some major lightning hit Coors Field.

As seen in the video above, the Colorado grounds crew attempted to bring the tarp on in the bottom of the eighth inning when a major lightning strike hit nearby, causing reactions out of the D-backs play-by-play team and the crowd.

Severe weather was on the way as the delay began.
