Vinny & Skinny: Palmer’s return could be telling, Titans a curious case

Win. Loss. Win. Loss.
Putting two wins in a row hasn’t been accomplished by the Arizona Cardinals in 2017. Even after their best win of the year, a 27-24 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona followed with a flop against the Los Angeles Rams by losing 32-16 last Sunday.
Next up: The final of three straight games at University of Phoenix Stadium as the Tennessee Titans visit Glendale.
On this edition of Vinny & Skinny presented by Arizona Central Credit Union, Mike Jurecki and Vince Marotta discuss a few injured Cardinals who are hoping to return this season.
Among them is Adrian Peterson, who continues to sit out with a neck injury. But most interesting is the status of quarterback Carson Palmer.
His potential return from a broken arm could spell out the narrative around his future with the team.
“By all accounts, he’s working very hard to get back on the field this year, possibly for the last two games. I can’t quite figure out if this makes much sense to me,” Marotta said. “The only way this makes sense for me, Mike, is if Carson Palmer is definitely going to ride off in the sunset and doesn’t want to be helped off the field with a broken arm in a different country as his last moment as an NFL player.”
What about the Cardinals’ next opponent?
Well, the Titans are not the most attractive-looking team, but somehow they’re 8-4.
“They just don’t beat themselves and they find ways to win in the fourth quarter,” Jurecki said, “whether it’s on special teams, forcing a turnover. Eight and four is eight and four. We would sign up for eight and four.”
