Memphis jumbotron a little off on Suns’ starting lineup

It’s the dog days of January in the National Basketball Association.
Most teams have played around 50 of their 82 games, and the trade deadline and the All-Star break are looming. It’s a common time for a little lull in the action around the league.
But it’s not just players that hit the wall at this time of the year — apparently it affects graphics guys, too.
Prior to the Suns-Grizzlies game in Memphis Monday night, the personnel in charge of putting Phoenix’s starting lineup on the jumbotron at FedEx Forum batted .600, which would be a great shooting percentage, but not great in terms of factual accuracy.

Yes, that’s Eric Bledsoe listed as Isaiah Canaan. Bledsoe was traded to Milwaukee in November. Canaan joined the Suns in mid-December.
But wait, they weren’t done. Greg Monroe started at center for Phoenix, yet his name appeared with an image of Peter Jok. Who is Peter Jok, you ask? Good question. Jok was on the Suns’ roster during the preseason, but didn’t log any minutes on the floor before he was waived on Oct. 11. The rookie is averaging 4.6 points per game with the Northern Arizona Suns of the G-League.
Monroe, who should have been pictured, has been in the league for eight years and was acquired by Phoenix in the Bledsoe deal with Milwaukee over two months ago.
Canaan and Bledsoe have both worn uniform No. 2 this season for the Suns, while Jok sported No. 14 briefly before it was assumed by Monroe. Looks like somebody looked at an old roster? Thankfully, it was still one from this season, otherwise Elliot Perry and Jeff Hornacek may have been listed as Suns’ starters.
