LISTEN: Impromptu Power Poll - Top 5 Potential Cardinals QB's

Tick-tock, the Arizona Cardinals are on the quarterback-hunting clock.

There are options to replace retired starting quarterback Carson Palmer in the draft, via free agency and through trade. The Cardinals will likely need to go down multiple of those avenues to fill a bare cupboard of a quarterback room, but in case general manager Steve Keim needs some advice, 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Doug & Wolf are here to help out.

Hosts Doug Franz and Ron Wolfley slapped together their respective lists of the top five options at quarterback.

You might notice a few themes. Wolf is only eyeing NFL veterans for the position, while Doug has a three rookies under consideration — a few of the latter are likely to be off the board by the time the Cardinals draft 15th overall.

Their lists may look very different, but they each have the same quarterback ranked No. 1. That’d be Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins.

WOLF

5. Sam Bradford (Free agent)

4. Teddy Bridgewater (FA)

3. Jacoby Brissett (Colts)

2. Nick Foles (Eagles)

1. Kirk Cousins (FA)

DOUG

5. Sam Darnold (Draft)

4. Josh Allen (Draft)

3. Nick Foles (Eagles)

2. Baker Mayfield (Draft)

1. Kirk Cousins (FA)
