It turned out to be a Monday that will live in infamy for one young fan of the Atlanta Hawks.
Meet Lake, a Hawks fanatic diagnosed with leukemia, who signed a one-day contract with the organization thanks to “The Bert Show” in Atlanta. The show also runs “Bert’s Big Adventure”, a non-profit organization that provides Disney trips and unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for kids with chronic and/or terminal illnesses and their families.
The day started with the Hawks’ team bus pulling up to Lake’s house early Monday morning.
