‘Cardinals Flight Plan’ spotlights position battles, Super Bowl bid

May 30, 2018, 7:07 PM

The latest episode of “Cardinals Flight Plan” put a spotlight on potential position battles the Arizona Cardinals will have, including at quarterback.

On a previous episode of the Facebook show, first-round pick Josh Rosen was seen reading a text from Sam Bradford.

Bradford was asked about reaching out.

“Having been around for a while and understanding my role as an older guy in the quarterback room,” he said. “I just wanted to reach out and welcome him and just let him know that I was going to be there for him to help him. If he ever needed anything, that he could always come to me to ask questions and I really just try and give him everything that I had learned in my past.”

Rosen spoke to the media and said that Bradford and him are similar in not ignoring the teammate aspect of their relationship despite Rosen threatening for the starting quarterback spot.

After David Johnson joined our own 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Bickley & Marotta, recently acquired Jamar Taylor was highlighted.

The episode then traveled to Atlanta, where president Michael Bidwill was with Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey meeting high-level NFL names before pitching for Arizona to host a future Super Bowl. That included Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Part of Ducey’s practice presentation was shown before Bidwill and Ducey shared a meal.

Behind closed doors, Ducey made the presentation and Bidwill would bring the good news they were unanimously the home for the 2023 Super Bowl.

The episode ended with a behind the scenes look at Rosen and Christian Kirk throwing out the first pitch at an Arizona Diamondbacks game Tuesday.
