D-backs’ Souza Jr. takes casual stroll on Chase Field concourse

Well, you don’t see this everyday.
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Steven Souza Jr. decided to take a stroll on the Chase Field concourse ahead of the D-backs matchup with the New York Mets on Saturday, interacting with — and even booing — some unsuspecting fans.

Souza’s presence appeared to have caught both D-backs and Mets fans off guard, with the outfielder receiving looks of surprise and confusion as he walked among the crowd.
For the fans that did recognize Souza, they took advantage, receiving high-fives, fist bumps and even a taking few selfies with the outfielder.
As for Mets fans, however, they received boos from Souza. But judging by the looks he received, it might be safe to say the New York faithful thought he was just a die-hard fan who enjoys dressing as a player.
Souza has been on the disabled list for the better part of two months as he deals with a nagging right pectoral strain he suffered back in late April, but that didn’t stop him from the concourse shenanigans.
But sadly, it was the Mets who got the last laugh, defeating the D-backs 5-1.
