The Phoenix Suns have scored only nine points in each of the team’s last two first quarters.
On Thursday, a 34-9 deficit against the Portland Trail Blazers followed a 36-9 advantage for the Sacramento Kings in Phoenix.
On TNT’s “Inside the NBA”, the crew that includes Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor member Charles Barkley was shown the score in Portland.
Barkley was not impressed.
"Come on, man."

“Come on Phoenix Suns,” Barkley said. “Come on man. This is ridiculous.”
Kenny Smith thought the score was fake.
“34-7? Come on man,” Smith said. “That’s not real. That can’t be real. That cannot be real.”
The Suns’ first-quarter woes have not been seen across the NBA in a long, long time.
The Suns are the first team in the shot clock era to be held under 10 points in the first quarter of back-to-back games (since 1954-55).
