Just when you thought Larry Fitzgerald couldn’t accomplish any more in his NFL career, he did on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fitzgerald threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to running back David Johnson in the second quarter against the Rams, the receiver’s first touchdown pass in his illustrious career.

He took a backwards pass from quarterback Josh Rosen and lofted a perfect pass for Johnson, who came free on a wheel route.

Fitzgerald, 35, became the oldest wide receiver to throw a touchdown, breaking a record that stood since 1983.

It was a fitting addition to a season in which Fitzgerald, who has 115 career touchdown receptions, has set several career marks.

The Cardinals might need more trickery and heroics from Fitzgerald if they want to upset the NFC West champions.
