The penultimate Doug & Wolf power poll may not include hosts Doug Franz or Ron Wolfley, who are finishing up a Christmas holiday, but that won’t stop us from wrapping the 2018 NFL power rankings heading into Week 17.

Luke Lapinski and Rudy Carpenter have filled in, but we’re guessing they might have close to the same opinion as our missing hosts.

At least, they agree. The New Orleans Saints (13-2) will head into the final week of the 2018 regular season as the best team in the land. And both also believe the Kansas City Chiefs (11-4) to be the second-best team in the NFL.

After that, Lapinski and Carpenter have the Los Angeles Rams (12-3) and Chicago Bears in their top five NFL squads, but Lapinski has the New England Patriots (10-5) in his rankings. Carpenter favors the Los Angeles Chargers instead.

Luke Lapinski

5. Bears
4. Rams
3. Patriots
2. Chiefs
1. Saints

Rudy Carpenter

5. Bears
4. Chargers
3. Rams
2. Chiefs
1. Saints
