The Arizona Cardinals are keeping one of their offseason pickups around a little longer.

The Cardinals announced Saturday the team has signed tight end Maxx Williams to a two-year contract extension.

The extension will keep the tight end under contract through the end of the 2021 season.

Starting in five of his 10 games played this season, Williams has amassed 11 receptions for 139 yards and a score. Williams sits in second among the team’s tight ends in yards, Charles Clay leads the team’s tight ends with 169, but paces the position in scores, yards after catch (80) and first downs (9).

Prior to joining the Cardinals, Williams was a member of the Baltimore Ravens for four seasons, catching 63 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns in 42 games (21 starts).

Williams entered the league as a second-round pick (No. 55) in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Minnesota.
