Forward Mark Tollefsen to transfer to University of Arizona

Apr 25, 2015, 2:42 AM | Updated: 3:25 am

The University of Arizona learned Friday that center Kaleb Tarczewski will return for his season season, and later in the day, the program added a highly sought transfer.

Scout.com’s Evan Daniels first reported that 6-foot-9 forward Mark Tollefsen would be transferring to UA.

The former San Francisco standout later confirmed the news.

Tollefsen will be a fifth-year senior and will have one year of eligibility at UA. The 199-pound left-handed shooter averaged 14.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season while shooting a solid 37.8 percent from behind the three-point line.

The Danville, California, native will provide depth to the Wildcats frontcourt, which lost Brandon Ashley and Stanley Johnson this month to the NBA Draft.
