Adrian Peterson speaks, but not about Arizona Cardinals

Stay strong, Arizona Cardinals fans … this Adrian Peterson saga is almost over.
With the NFL Draft set to begin Thursday night in Chicago — and that event labeled as the last opportunity for any team to trade for the disgruntled Minnesota Vikings running back, we’re almost to the finish line.
Tuesday night, Peterson attended the Dallas Mavericks-Houston Rockets playoff game and spoke to a Texas television station — but didn’t mention the Cardinals apparently.
Peterson was asked by WFAA reporter Mike Leslie if he’d like to play for the Dallas Cowboys.
“It would be nice,” Peterson said. “I’ve got family here; my dad’s here. But I’m under contract, so we’ll see.”
The Cowboys have been steadfast that they won’t trade draft picks for veteran players. Rumors out of Minnesota say the Vikings are looking for at least a first-round draft pick to move the former league MVP.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman reiterated Tuesday that he has no interest in trading Peterson, who has three years remaining on his Minnesota contract.
Several NFL insiders still consider the Cardinals the team that has the best chance to land Peterson in deal if one is made during draft weekend.
Stay tuned…
