The Arizona Cardinals on Friday signed free agent offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum, the team announced.
Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro was first to report the addition Wednesday.
The Cardinals mark Beachum’s fourth NFL team. He’s spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers (four years), Jacksonville Jaguars (one year) and New York Jets (three years).
Beachum, 31, played 13 games last season for the Jets after back-to-back 16-game seasons in 2017 and 2018. He has started at least 12 games a season, with just two years of single-digit outings.
Beachum has played both tackle positions over the course of his eight-year career.
The lineman could figure to see reps at the right tackle spot this season after the Cardinals saw two season-ending injuries (Marcus Gilbert and Jordan Mills) early on last year. Gilbert returns for 2020, as does Justin Murray, who started most of the season at right tackle opposite Humphries.
Rookie third-round pick Josh Jones, second-year pro Josh Miles and second-year pro Brett Toth fill out the tackle depth.
Gilbert has only appeared in 12 of the 48 possible games in the past three seasons.
