The Arizona State football program continued its recruiting streak with the commitment of three-star cornerback Robert Regan on Monday.
Regan, out of Orange Lutheran High School in California, is ASU’s fifth commit over the past week.
Ranked the No. 36 overall cornerback in the class by the 247Sports composite, Regan had 17 offers including Auburn, Florida, Wisconsin and six Pac-12 schools, one of which was Arizona.
He had three interceptions and 43 tackles in his senior year, and also occasionally lined up at wide receiver.
“Playing in the Trinity (League), I’ve gone up against a lot of D1 receivers, a lot of talented players for sure. I think that will help me make a quick transition and my goal is get to ASU early, learn the playbook and compete right away,” Regan said to 247Sports.
The Trinity League is the high school football conference home to St. John Bosco and Mater Dei, who have combined to win four of the last seven National Championships.
Regan is the fifth player to commit to the Sun Devils in less than a week.
ASU’s recruiting pipeline has extended beyond just California.
On Wednesday, four-star athlete Tommi Hill, who played wide receiver and defensive back at Edgewater in Florida, committed to ASU.
Two days later, three-star running back Martin Lucas out of Abingdon High School in Virginia and three-star Junior Alexander of Kennedy Catholic High School in Washington committed to the Sun Devils.
On Sunday, three-star defensive end Gharin Stansbury, who attends Franklin High School in Louisiana, announced his commitment to ASU.
The Sun Devils now have nine 2021 commits from high schools that aren’t in Arizona or California. The last time the program had more than eight was in 2014.
That year, 12 of their 28 total commits came from schools outside those two states.
In the 2021 class, they currently have 13 total commits.
