The Arizona Cardinals have added second-year offensive lineman Rick Leonard to their practice squad, bolstering the team’s depth in the trenches.
Leonard has bounced around the league a bit after getting drafted in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
His vagabond professional career includes stops in Los Angeles, where he played for the Rams, as well as a brief stint with the Cardinals in 2018.
Leonard was signed on a reserve/future contract during the 2019 offseason by the Houston Texans, spending the 2019 season on the team’s practice squad before being released on Sept. 5.
Leonard played college football at Florida State, where he appeared in seven games over three season as an offensive and defensive lineman.
The Cardinals return to the field to host the Detroit Lions at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday, as they look to go to 3-0 this season.
