The Arizona Cardinals announced multiple roster moves on Saturday afternoon, including the activation of defensive lineman Zach Allen from the designated for return list.

Allen hasn’t played since Week 7 when he suffered an ankle injury. The lineman has tallied 11 tackles, two for losses, 1.0 sack and four QB hits in seven games (two starts) this season.

Allen’s return will aid a defensive line than has been plagued with injuries.

Defensive lineman Josh Mauro (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, joining position mates Jordan Phillips and Leki Fotu. Defensive lineman Corey Peters is out for the season, as is pass rusher Chandler Jones.

The Cardinals also signed tight end Evan Baylis to the active roster from the practice squad.

Baylis has played four games for Arizona this season, most recently against the Seahawks. The 27-year-old previously played for the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans.

In a corresponding move, tight end Darrell Daniels (ankle) was placed on injured reserve.

Defensive lineman Michael Dogbe, running back D.J. Foster and cornerback Jace Whittaker were promoted to the active roster from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.

Foster (ASU) and Whittaker (Arizona) are in-state collegiate products who went undrafted, while Dogbe was a 2019 seventh-round draft pick out of Temple.

In a final move, the Cardinals elevated defensive lineman Stacy McGee to the active roster from the practice squad in a standard elevation.

McGee, now in his eighth NFL season, has appeared in 79 games in his career and has recorded 118 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 15 QB hits. The defensive lineman signed with the Cardinals practice squad on Tuesday after previous playing for Oakland (2013-16), Washington (2017-18) and Carolina (2019).
