After the 2015 NFL Draft ended, undrafted free agent signings began.

Four Arizona State players were selected in the draft itself, and one was reportedly picked up after.

Nelson, a solidly-built tight end out of Stockton, Calif., didn’t see many reps as a Sun Devil behind former tight end Chris Coyle in 2013, and the wideout options Arizona State utilized in 2014.

He did have 13 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown last season (against Arizona in a Territorial Cup loss), and scored twice in 2013.
