Crowder on ‘Suns in 4’ fan fight: ‘We had the game, so we were watching’

Phoenix Suns forward Jae Crowder admitted his team got a little distracted in Game 3 of a second-round series against the Denver Nuggets.
Having held a double-digit lead deep into that game, Suns players were coming out of a timeout during the fourth quarter when a skirmish broke out in the stands.
A single Suns fan threw down with two Nuggets supporters, creating a meme and becoming and a cult hero when he concluded the fight by yelling, “Suns in four!”
Devin Booker attempted to find the man of mystery.
Crowder, while visiting ESPN’s Jalen and Jacoby on Tuesday, said the Suns have since enjoyed the viral video clip. But they also saw it in the flesh.
“See the clip? We saw it live. See the clip? We was breaking out of a timeout late in the fourth quarter, Game 3 …” Crowder said. “We were watching it. We were watching it live. Some of the guys tried to get some of the other guys just to lock in, finish the game, but we were up big and we felt like we had the game, so we were watching the fight.
“We thought it was crazy. We thought it was pretty cool and we just all laughed about it.”

That might be a little more honesty than Suns head coach Monty Williams would like to hear.
We here appreciate honesty.
Take this response when Crowder also discussed his role of trying to stop stars like LeBron James this postseason.
“I’m up for the challenge,” Crowder said. “I feel like I do a good job of just making it tough — I don’t stop anybody. It’s tough to stop guys in this league with the way we score … You want to make it as tough as possible on guys and be an a-hole sometimes, and I’m able to do that here or there.”
He is indeed able to do that.
