ASU wide receiver D.J. Foster has widely been considered to be one of the most electrifying players in college football, drawing many to think he can do the same at the professional level.

Foster was ranked as the No. 2 returning senior on ESPN.com NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper, Jr. in his list of the top 10 running back prospects for the 2015 NFL Draft Tuesday.

Foster, who announced he will transition from full-time running back to wide receiver this coming season to improve his draft stock, drew rave reviews from Kiper, Jr.:

A nifty runner, Foster gets major bonus points because he’s also a gifted receiver out of the backfield, piling up 163 catches in three years. That gives him a high floor in the draft.

Foster is the only active player in the FBS with more than 1,500 rushing and 1,500 receiving yards for his career. He had his first 1,000-yard rushing season last season and still finished as the team’s second-leading receiver.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound playmaker from Scottsdale, Ariz. has caught a pass in each of his 40 games a Sun Devil, and was a Second Team All-Pac-12 selection in 2014.

The lone senior running back ranked ahead of Foster was Jonathan Williams out of Arkansas.
