The team will break out the new Valley Heat Reverse Retro uniform to kick off Pac-12 play.
The uniform concept sticks with the traditional gold helmet that features Sparky the Sun Devil on one side, but flips up ASU’s usual color scheme. Instead, they’ll rock a gold jersey for the first time since 1990.
The shoulders on the jerseys have the Arizona state flag in metallic gold behind a maroon undertone. The Sun Devils will also wear new maroon gloves where the palms mimic the same style.
The Sun Devils will wear maroon pants that feature an old-school font and new gold AdiZero cleats. ASU’s new spikes aren’t short on detail either, as the cleats say “Forks Up” and are covered with silhouettes of the team’s signature hand gesture.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen Adidas break out the reverse retro concept, as it was something they introduced in the NHL last season.
