When head coach Bobby Hurley and the Arizona State Sun Devils men’s basketball team open their season Tuesday night against Portland, they will be doing so down a handful of players.
ASU will be without forward Jalen Graham, as well as guards Jay Heath, Justin Rochelin and Jordan Williams, who are all out in COVID-19 protocol, per The Athletic’s Doug Haller.
Sun Devils fans are familiar with Graham, as the junior is back after averaging 8.1 points per game as a sophomore, while the other three are newcomers to the program.
Heath is a sophomore transfer from Boston College who was their leading scorer a year ago averaging 14.5 points per game.
Rochelin and Williams are both freshmen in their first season with ASU.
The Sun Devils tip off the 2021-22 season at home Tuesday against Portland at 5 p.m. You can catch all the action on ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2.
