The Arizona Wildcats got a big commitment in the form of 2023 five-star guard Kylan Boswell on Monday.
The Chandler Compass Prep guard chose the Wildcats over UNLV and Illinois. Boswell marks first five-star player to commit for coach Tommy Lloyd, who took over in 2021.

“I’m feeling very, very excited,” Boswell said after making his commitment. “It’s been a long process in this recruiting situation but I feel like I made the right decision. Their atmosphere at that program is wild, how involved their fans are with their basketball program. It’s pretty insane to me.
“Since Day 1, I’ve felt like I’ve been a family member to the coaches, treated me like family. And then what really sold me was their sports performance program.”
Boswell is the second ranked point guard in the 2023 class, per 247 Sports‘ composite rankings.
There’s also the chance that the guard could reclassify for the 2022 class.
It’ll be another piece for Lloyd to mold in his just his second season as the Wildcats coach.
In his first season at the helm, the Wildcats currently rank No. 2 in The Associated Press men’s basketball poll that was released Monday.
At 25-3, the Wildcats are first in the Pac-12 (15-2), sitting 1.5 games ahead of USC.
