Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and VP of player personnel Quentin Harris have been selected to take part in the inaugural NFL Coach and Front Office Accelerator program next week at the league’s spring meeting in Atlanta.

“The program, part of the NFL’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, will provide women and minority prospects direct networking opportunities and exposure to club owners to prepare these candidates for head coach and general manager positions,” a press release on the program read Friday.

Over the two-day program that runs from Monday-Tuesday, the pair will dive into leadership development, undergo sessions on the business of football and engage in discussions on how to take the next step in becoming a head coach or front office executive.

More than 60 head coach and general manager candidates will embark on the program. The participants were nominated by their respective teams and the NFL.

Joseph enters his fourth season as Arizona’s defensive coordinator after originally joining the team in 2019. The DC knows a thing or two about being a head coach, having manned the Denver Broncos from 2017-18.

This season marks Year 19 in the Cardinals organization for Harris and his 15th in Arizona’s scouting department. He’s entering his second season as the team’s VP of personnel after holding titles of director of player personnel (2019-2020), director of pro scouting (2013-18) assistant pro personnel director (2010-12) and pro scout (2008-09).

Before his time with the front office, Harris played four of his five NFL seasons with Arizona after signing on as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Syracuse in 2002.
