The Arizona Cardinals and the NFL world were shocked on Monday when news broke that cornerback Jeff Gladney died in an overnight car accident.

Gladney, who has just signed with the Cardinals in March, was a first-round pick of the Vikings in 2020.

“We are devastated to learn of Jeff Gladney’s passing,” the Cardinals said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to his family, friends and all who are mourning this tremendous loss.”

Following the news of his passing, Gladney’s current and former teammates, as well as others around the game, paid their respects.
