The biggest roster-cutting phase of the NFL schedule is done with, waiver claims have been awarded and now the Arizona Cardinals have finished filling the final spot of their practice squad with the signing of defensive lineman Andrew Brown on Friday.
The Cardinals notably had a third-string quarterback spot to patch that has been given to Trace McSorley, who gained significant experience playing in three preseason games, was waived and passed through waivers unclaimed.
Arizona announced 13 more re-signings Wednesday and Thursday, including veteran Devon Kennard, inside linebacker Chandler Wooten and outside linebacker Jesse Luketa.
Nickel corner Jace Whittaker, safety James Wiggins, receivers Andre Baccellia and Victor Bolden Jr., and international prospect and tight end Bernhard Seikovits were other notable cuts at the 53-man deadline who are back with the team.
The signing of Brown to the practice squad puts the final total to 17 men, with Seikovits being re-signed on an international player practice squad exemption.
