Phoenix Rising FC to wear gold kit in honor of childhood cancer awareness

Sep 7, 2022, 5:35 PM

Phoenix Rising FC will be rocking a brand new gold kit for the remainder of September, and for a good cause, too.

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, all proceeds from the newly released uniforms will benefit Phoenix Children’s Foundation.

“Childhood cancers are devastating diseases we all would love to see eradicated,” PRFC general manager Bobby Dulle said in a press release.

“Our partners at Phoenix Children’s work each day to help those affected. We want to do what we can, help raise some money for the cause and show our support for the doctors, nurses and children battling cancers.”

“We are grateful for the partnership with Phoenix Rising and their amazing fans to help support our ‘Step Up. Stop Cancer.‘ campaign and shine a light on pediatric cancer,” Tim Harrison, Phoenix Children’s Foundation vice president of corporate partnerships and special events, said in the release.

“Funds raised will help support the lifesaving work at Phoenix Children’s nationally renowned Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.”

Phoenix Rising has four matches remaining in September, with the only home game of the month and debut of the gold kits coming on Saturday against Oakland Roots SC.

PRFC fans can preorder the new jerseys online.
