Arizona State quarterback Emory Jones reached the end zone twice on the ground in his Sun Devils debut last week against Northern Arizona.
On Saturday against the No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys, he picked up his first career touchdown pass in maroon and gold.
The Sun Devils were in need of seven as they trailed 20-10 going into the fourth quarter.
A 38-yard run by Xazavian Valladay provided a chunk to set up the offense in enemy territory.
Jones lined up under center and ran play-action.
Redshirt sophomore receiver Elijhah Badger ran a crosser to the left side, and Jones hit him in stride on the 5-yard line.

Badger walked in to cut the ASU deficit to three following the extra point.
ASU managed only a field goal in the first half, but a 73-yard connection between Jones and Giovanni Sanders early in the third quarter set up Valladay to score.

The Sun Devils, though, did not led after the second quarter.
There were promising drives Saturday night from the ASU offense, but much of the performance was plagued by penalties and a struggling run game.
The Cowboys grew their lead in the second half to 34-17, which was the final score, and the Sun Devils dropped to 1-1 to begin the season.
Jones finished the game with 223 passing yards on 23 throws.
