In a lackluster showing by Arizona State as a whole, a tip-drill interception by cornerback Timarcus Davis early in the third quarter gave the Sun Devils a chance to get back into the game.

Shadowing Utah receiver Solomon Enis, Davis stayed in a trail position and made a sliding adjustment after the ball tipped off Enis’ hands to secure the pick.

Unfortunately for the Sun Devils, the ensuing possession ended on a fourth down attempt from the Utah 29-yard line. When Utah got the ball back they marched down the field nine plays for 74 yards to add another touchdown.

There was not much going after that.

Utah was able to tack on a field goal in the fourth quarter and ASU finally found paydirt with 2:06 remaining in the game to make the final score 34-13.

ASU hits the road to take on USC next week. The game can be heard on ESPN 620 AM or 98.7 FM HD-2.
