Cardinals defensive tackle Dan Williams doesn’t travel with team, status questionable

Sep 22, 2013, 12:25 AM | Updated: 12:27 am

The Arizona Cardinals will need all the defensive help they can get to slow down Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints’ offense Sunday.

Unfortunately, though, Todd Bowles’ unit might be a man down inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

According to Cardinals VP of Media Relations Mark Dalton, defensive tackle Dan Williams didn’t travel with the team to New Orleans because of a personal family matter.

His status for Sunday’s game is currently questionable.

Williams, a first-round pick by the Cardinals in 2010, has one tackle and one pick-six in two games this season.
