ESPN’s May: Don’t just blame Lisa Love, but move had to be made

Lisa Love was replaced as Arizona State’s athletic
director Wednesday, with former Chief Operating Officer
Steve Patterson taking over.
The move has been happily received by many Sun Devil
faithful, but ESPN NCAA insider Mark May cautions them not
to be too giddy just yet.
“Everybody wants to point the finger at Lisa Love, but
what about Michael Crow,” he told Arizona Sports 620’s
Burns and Gambo. “He’s the university president, he’s the
one who stepped in and basically took away her authority
away throughout [the coaching search].
