Arizona State dips in national polls after loss to Stanford in Pac-12 Championship

Dec 8, 2013, 6:15 PM | Updated: Dec 9, 2013, 3:45 am

After a disappointing 38-14 loss at home Saturday in the Pac-12 Championship Game, Arizona State took an expected hit in national polls Sunday.

In the AP Top 25, the 10-3 Sun Devils fell from 11th to 16th. The team also fell four spots to No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

ASU also finished No. 14 in the final BCS Standings.

The loss to Stanford ended the Sun Devils’ seven-game winning streak, and it stifled their shot at earning their first Rose Bowl berth since 1996.
