Report: Keala King dismissed from ASU basketball

Jan 8, 2012, 7:26 PM | Updated: 11:11 pm

It looks like the Arizona State Sun Devils will be playing with one less man
this year.

According to multiple reports, leading scorer Keala
King was dismissed from the ASU men’s basketball team Sunday.

@ASUDevilscom tweeted:

Quote from coach Herb Sendek: “We have decided that Keala will no longer
be with the team. We wish him nothing but the best in his future.”

King was suspended Thursday along with Kyle Cain and Chris Colvin for
unacceptable conduct.

King, a sophomore from Compton, California, had been the Sun Devils’
leading scorer through 13 games, averaging 13.7 points per game. He also
was leading the team in assists, averaging 3.3 per contest.

There is no word on the status of the other two players’ status with the
team.
