This time next week the Cardinals’ quarterback situation might be a little more clear. They might have drafted a signal-caller high enough to give him the advantage in the race to be the team’s starter. Until then, the speculation continues. And the Marc Bulger train has picked up another passenger. “There’s a lot of question […]
Derrick Williams knows what he’s going to miss. “If I were to stay, we would have a great chance to win a national championship, but at the same time, not too many people get this opportunity, to move on to the next level,” he said during what is his final press conference as an Arizona […]
Besides the QB talk, what has dominated any discussion about the Arizona Cardinals has been who they will select with the fifth pick in the draft next Thursday. Well, what if they don’t select anyone at all? The team could trade down, which is an idea general manager Rod Graves touched on Thursday. “I think […]

The Arizona Cardinals need to draft a quarterback in the NFL Draft next week. What they don’t have to do is draft one with the No. 5 overall pick. When their turn comes in the second round for the 38th pick, if TCU’s Andy Dalton is still on the board he needs to be taken […]
Fans aren’t the only ones who don’t want the Phoenix Coyotes to relocate to Winnipeg, their goaltender isn’t fond of the idea either. After his team was eliminated — both from the playoffs and possibly from ever again playing in the city of Glendale — by the Detroit Red Wings, goalie Ilya Bryzgalov was asked […]

Early on Thursday Dragic joined the world of Twitter and let his desert dwelling fans know just how much he appreciated their support and missed the team and the city. Suns fans thank you for following me. I miss […]

Having been a part of the Cardinals team and playing in the system for a couple weeks back in 2007, Tim Hasselbeck thinks his brother would be an ideal fit […]
For someone who only has 14 home runs in his career, having two in one game is a big deal. Even after going yard twice Tuesday night against the Reds, Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Ryan Roberts hasn’t argued for more playing time or more opportunities. Instead, he’s just taking it one day at a time. “I […]
With a 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth in Cincinnati, Diamondbacks’ closer J.J. Putz drilled outfielder Jonny Gomes, the first batter he saw, making for an interesting start to an always high-pressure situation. Then, just like nothing ever happened, Putz proceeded to get two groundballs and a strikeout, stranding Gomes on second […]
The Goldwater Institute and the City of Glendale will finally sit down and discuss the future of the Phoenix Coyotes. The question is, is it too little, too late? I'm one of the worst type of hockey fans. I heckle, jeer and insult the other team. I'm loud, rough and generally obnoxious. And it's part of hockey. Hockey fans are an in-your-face bunch during an unimportant game, a throwaway. The bigger the game, the bolder fans like myself get. If it's the playoffs, forget it. You might as well plug your ears and hope my voice is gone by the second intermission.

The Phoenix Coyotes has qualified for the playoffs in under half of its seasons here and never advanced past the first round. Fan support has been dwindling, financial losses cause potential owners to shy away and few fan favorites are left. It reads like a script about how a hockey team leaves an empty arena for the promise of greener fields, until you ask a player how it feels.
We finally know. If there is to be an NFL season, we now know exactly who the Cardinals will play, where they will play them and on what day. Starting at home against the Panthers and finishing at home against the Seahawks, the schedule is fairly balanced and, based on record, the easiest in the […]
