The Arizona Diamondbacks had themselves a record-breaking night against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, and U.S. Sen. John McCain was in attendance to see history being made at Chase Field.
The D-backs slugged five home runs — including two by first baseman Paul Goldschmidt — off Clayton Kershaw and other Dodgers pitchers.
After Goldschmidt’s seventh-inning blast, McCain was seen on TV next to his wife, looking overjoyed at the D-backs slugger’s three-run shot.
Meghan McCain tweeted the following GIF of her father’s celebration.
