Let’s laugh at the Dodgers’ Rich Hill, who loses no-hitter on walk-off homer

This is no place to shed tears for Dodgers fans.

That said, Los Angeles starting pitcher Rich Hill didn’t deserve the fate dealt to him Wednesday. He took a perfect game into the ninth inning, when an early error cost him that potential outcome. Then, with the Pirates and Dodgers deadlocked, 0-0, he went after a no-hitter in the 10th but gave up a solo home run to the Pirates’ Josh Harrison.

The walk-off homer was the first allowed by a pitcher chasing a no-hitter in MLB history.

Either way you slice it, that was a heck of a performance by Hill. But a Dodgers loss is a Dodgers loss on the Haboob blog, and so we’re here to laugh at Los Angeles.
