Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta exited Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers after being hit by a pitch on his right hand.

With two runners on and two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Peralta took the first pitch of the at-bat — a 93.6 mph fastball — on his right hand.

Peralta immediately went down to the ground holding his right wrist.

After being evaluated by trainers and staying on the ground, Peralta exited the game.

D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said after the game it was a right hand injury for Peralta, not his wrist. X-rays were negative and he is listed as day-to-day with a right hand contusion.

“Nothing broke or anything,” Peralta said after the game. “I think I really got lucky.”

Peralta said he hopes to be ready for Tuesday.

Coming into Monday’s game, Peralta was leading the D-backs in batting average at .302 and was tied with A.J. Pollock for the team lead in hits with 29.

Peralta is the latest significant player for the D-backs to pick up an injury.

Starter Robbie Ray was placed on the 10-day DL Monday for a strained right oblique, starter Taijuan Walker had Tommy John surgery and right fielder Steven Souza Jr. has not played yet as he works his way back from a pectoral strain. Third baseman Jake Lamb also hasn’t played since April 2 when he suffered a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.
