Justin Pugh: Cardinals lineman and member of the Big Man Dance Crew

Jan 22, 2019, 11:17 AM

Touchdown celebrations have come back in full force.

But while the flare and credit goes to the position players, what about the big guys doing all the dirty work?

With that in mind, The Late Late Show host James Corden took things into his own hands, bringing in four offensive linemen for the NFL’s First Big Man Dance Crew.

“Since moving to America, I’ve realized it’s always the wide receivers and the running backs who get all the glory, while the big guys up front do all the work,” Corden said. “A struggle I know all too well.”

Teaming up with the Cardinals’ Justin Pugh, Raiders’ Brandon Parker, Jaguars’ Malik Jackson and Lions’ A’Shawn Robinson, Corden put the four through the celebration ringer.

“I know what it’s like to be underestimated as a dancer just because you’re a thick cut of meat,” Corden said. “But I say, ‘Yeah, we’ve got a few more lbs. but the way I see it’s just more material to work with.'”

After critiquing their moves, Corden went to work, starting with the classic three-point twerk.

Yes, a three-point twerk.

To really get to know how to dance, though, you have to master the art of the slow dance.

Luckily for Pugh, he got the full treatment as he was serenaded by Jackson while looking like the two were at a middle school dance.

But the best way to get your groove on?

“To form a true big man end zone dance crew, we have to be able to become the very thing we represent,” Corden said.

With that in mind, Corden gave each of the lineman something to act out.

While Jackson was asked to be a Jaguar and Robinson took on Ellen DeGeneres, Pugh went to work as an Alpaca at a petting zoo.

“James, you know his teaching methods are a little out there, but he’s still better to understand than coach Gruden,” Parker said.

With Corden’s dance camp coming to end, there was just one thing left to do.

Show off the moves.

While Corden clearly set the foundation, maybe new Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury can add to Pugh’s routine.
