The Arizona Cardinals hold all of the NFL Draft cards in their hands with the No. 1 pick.

They want to keep a poker face anyway.

As quarterback and potential top pick Kyler Murray worked out in front of NFL front offices during Oklahoma’s pro day on Wednesday, Arizona’s top decision-makers were not in attendance. President Michael Bidwill, general manager Steve Keim and head coach Kliff Kingsbury opted not to go, according to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.

Instead, the Cardinals are expected to conduct a private workout with Murray, who has been widely-rumored as Arizona’s top target despite the franchise remaining quiet about its potential options while holding the No. 1 pick.

Arizona expects to gain much more from such a workout rather than the scripted throwing session and controlled environment of the pro day in Norman, Okla.

That doesn’t mean the Cardinals weren’t there at all.

NFL Network reported Tuesday that they were expected to send a “large contingent” to watch Murray, among others, and every team is expected to be represented.
