Scoring a season-high 48 points, the Arizona State Sun Devils had little trouble dispatching the Colorado Buffaloes in Saturday night’s 48-23 win at Sun Devil Stadium.

Thanks to Sun Devils quarterback Mike Bercovici and his five touchdown passes (tying a career-high), Arizona State moved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play as they head out on the road next Saturday to face the red-hot Utah Utes.

Below, we take a look at the Sun Devils’ dominant win, by the numbers.

5

Bercovici’s five touchdown passes Saturday versus Colorado ties a career-high for touchdown passes in a single game.  The fifth-year senior also tallied five touchdown tosses in last season’s thrilling 38-34 win over USC in Los Angeles.

3,082

More Bercovici. After completing 20-of-31 passes for 260 yards, Bercovici eclipsed the 3,000-yard mark for passing yards in a career, as he currently sits at 3,082 passing yards with six regular season games left to play.

4

The number of combined touchdowns scored by Sun Devils receiver Tim White and Sun Devils tight end Kody Kohl.  Recording season-highs with seven receptions for 144 yards, White was perhaps Arizona State’s most explosive offensive threat versus the Buffs Saturday night, as his touchdown receptions of 38 and 45 yards highlighted the evening.

Kohl was also productive, if not in a peculiar way.  Kohl would snag three passes for 32 yards and a score, but would also recover a Demario Richard fumble and rumble 28 yards for a touchdown for the game’s first score.

27-6

Under head coach Todd Graham, the Sun Devils are now 27-6 when scoring first.  In fact, since Graham took over the program in 2012, the Sun Devils have outscored their opponents 423-221 in the first quarter.

46

Sun Devils all-purpose dynamo D.J. Foster extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 46.  Now two games away from the Pac-12 record, Foster finished the night with three catches for 21 yards and a touchdown, in addition to five rushes for 80 yards.

298

With field goals of 22 and 26 yards plus six extra points, Arizona State junior kicker Zane Gonzalez moved into fifth place on ASU’s all-time scoring list, passing former Sun Devil running back Nolan Jones (296).
