Bartolo Colon’s improbable HR hilariously mashed up with ‘The Natural’

May 11, 2016, 2:04 PM

Last Sunday, Bartolo Colon made history when he his first career home run came with him being 42 years and 349 days old.

The pitcher’s second-inning blast off San Diego Padres starter James Shields provided more than just history, however. Colon, who is listed at 5-foot-11 and 283 pounds, does not exactly have the look of a hitter, and you could have timed his trip around the bases with a sun dial.

At any rate, his home run provided amusement for most of the baseball world, but apparently the joy was not done with the next day.

No, the internet has since gotten involved, and a YouTube user named Mark Evans produced an outstanding video that mixes Colon’s home run with ‘The Natural’.
