The Arizona Diamondbacks have extended their contract with the Reno Aces for two years, keeping the Triple-A team tied to the parent club through 2018.

“The Arizona Diamondbacks are excited to extend our relationship with the Reno Aces,” D-backs President and CEO Derrick Hall said in a release on Saturday. “I truly value the relationship between our two organizations and could not be more thankful for the support the Aces, and the city of Reno, have shown our players and staff since 2009. We look forward to working with the Reno ownership group and the rest of the Aces’ family for many years to come.”

The Aces, a member of the Pacific Coast League, have been affiliated with Arizona since 2009.

During the partnership, Triple-A Reno has gone 532-508, won a Triple-A Championship in 2012 and produced two Pacific Coast League MVPs in outfielder Adam Eaton in 2012 and infielder Chris Owings the following season.

Eleven current D-backs have played with Reno: Nick Ahmed, Jake Barrett, Enrique Burgos, Andrew Chafin, Patrick Corbin, Randall Delgado, Brandon Drury, Jake Lamb, Chris Owings, Robbie Ray and Yasmany Tomás.

“The Diamondbacks have shown a commitment to quality players and quality people throughout our history,” said Reno Aces President Eric Edelstein in a release. “We’ve had a great relationship with the D-backs’ front office, coaches and players over the past seven-plus seasons, and we look forward to continuing to partner with a world class franchise.”
