Osweiler believes ASU grew in Oregon St. win

Oct 4, 2011, 12:53 AM | Updated: 2:45 am

TEMPE – Arizona State didn’t play their best in the team’s game against Oregon State on Saturday, but quarterback Brock Osweiler thinks the win was a stepping stone.

“We did start out sloppy, but we tightened things up and ended up getting the win. You look in the previous years in games that we played sloppy, we were nowhere near winning that football game,” said Osweiler on the Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo show Monday.

The ASU quarterback believes the team is showing signs of growth considering they were still able to win when they didn’t play their best.

“With the way our team won that football game, it shows this football team has a lot of character and fight in it,” said Osweiler.

Osweiler clearly had his worst game of the season, personally committing four turnovers, but still feels confident heading into the team’s big game against Utah next weekend.
