The Arizona Wildcats inched closer to the top of the AP and USA Today Coaches polls, moving up one spot to the No. 6 ranking this week in both.

The Wildcats swept their latest road set, beating Stanford and California last week. They pulled away from the Cardinal in the final minutes to win 89-82, despite Chasson Randle scoring 26 points and a two-point Stanford lead at halftime.

Arizona trailed the Golden Bears at the four-minute mark in the first half, but never looked back from there, winning 73-50. Stanley Johnson led the Wildcats in scoring in both games, dropping 19 points against Stanford on Thursday and 18 points against California on Saturday.

This is their best ranking since beginning the season marked as the second-best team in the country. Their worst ranking has been No. 10 when they lost at Oregon State, their second loss of the season.

The Wildcats will put their 32-game active home winning streak on the line Wednesday when they host the Oregon Ducks.

Utah remains the only other PAC-12 school in the AP Poll, coming in at No. 11. Two unbeatens are left with Kentucky receiving all but one first place vote to stay at the top of the rankings. Virginia (19-0) is No. 2.
