Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins added another accolade to his career this week, this time coming from Forbes Magazine.
Hopkins, who ranks fourth in the NFL in receiving yards with 967 this season, was named to the magazine’s “30 Under 30” sports list, joining a cadre of sportswriters, agents and fellow athletes.
The blurb for the 28-year-old former Clemson Tiger includes information about Hopkins’ business portfolio, which includes his own real estate company.
It also discusses how Hopkins negotiated his own contract, which netted him $54.5 million over two years, an NFL record for wide receivers.

Hopkins was the 69th highest paid athlete in 2018, according to Forbes, though he dropped off the list in 2019.
On the field, Hopkins is having his best statistical season in two years, averaging 87.9 receiving yards per game in 11 contests.
Hopkins is on pace to pull down 112 catches this season, which would be the second-most in his eight-year NFL career.
He’s played a vital role in the Cardinals’ 6-5 campaign in 2020, as the team looks to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
Regardless of on-field results, it’s apparent that 2020 has been a year to remember for Hopkins, both on and off the gridiron.
