News came out Monday that the Arizona Cardinals would be featured on a new series called “All or Nothing.”

The series, produced by NFL Films, will be released on Amazon and consist of eight one-hour episodes chronicling all aspects of the Cardinals’ stellar 2015 season, which ended with a franchise-best 13-3 record and a trip to the NFC Championship Game.

Team president Michael Bidwill was very involved in making the series become a reality.

“It started about a year ago in a dialogue I started with NFL Films about documenting different elements of what we do around the year,” Bidwill told Doug and Wolf Tuesday on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. “We actually brought the cameras in for the draft — inside our war room — and mic’d up people in the war room and into mini-camp and OTAs and throughout the whole season.

“We really documented a lot of behind-the-scenes that people have never seen before. I think it’s going to be very, very good for the Cardinals — our players and our coaches. We’re going to be able to tell some great stories.”

The series, which premieres this summer, differs from HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” a show which has become must-see television for football fans in the preseason over the last decade. Arizona head coach Bruce Arians has been very outspoken in his resistance to potentially participating in the HBO program, but is totally on board for “All or Nothing.”

“It’s different, and I think it’s better,” Bidwill said. “I wasn’t interested in doing ‘Hard Knocks’ but I thought there were certain things we could do and do a completely different format and really lead the way in a different way to tell the story of the 2015 Cardinals.

“That’s what ‘All or Nothing’ does, it chronicles our journey — and everyone knows it ended — but a lot of our behind-the-scenes stories. And getting to know some of the players on our team and some of the coaches a little bit better. That’s what you’re going to see with this show.”

Bidwill also suggested that the program may be available to non-subscribers of Amazon’s pay streaming service as well, but didn’t have further details.
