Arizona State may be down another quarterback.

White did not put pressure on his right foot coming off the field and was seen going to the locker room on crutches.

“Hopefully we’ll get good news on Brady, but it didn’t look good,” head coach Todd Graham said after the game.

Graham said he would not disclose an update on White’s injury and said the team would when they are ready.

The Sun Devils were already without starting quarterback Manny Wilkins due to an apparent left foot injury.

“He’s a day-to-day type of situation and is obviously very doubtful and won’t play this week,” Graham said on Doug & Wolf on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Friday. “I think he has a chance to play the next week or maybe the one after that. It’s going to be a week-to-week kind of deal.”

Wilkins was seen with a boot on his left foot before the game. He was not in uniform.

True freshman third-string quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole replaced White in the fourth quarter of a three-point game against UCLA and threw an interception in the end zone on his first career pass.

Sterling-Cole would preserve his redshirt status pending the rest of the season had he not played, and according to Graham after the game, that was under consideration. Offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey proposed staying in the “Sparky” package exclusively with Kalen Ballage, but once it was known White was out for the game, the decision was made. It’s worth noting ASU went to only Sparky the drive after Sterling-Cole’s interception.

White, a unanimous four-star recruit, was making his first start as a freshman after sitting out last season as a redshirt. He left the game 19-of-36 for 179 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

There’s also redshirt freshman Bryce Perkins who was involved in the three-person race for the starting position in the offseason, but he picked up a serious neck injury in early Aug.
