The 6-foot-1, 175-pound guard from Encino, Calif., picked the Wildcats over Oregon and Gonzaga.
Williams is ranked as the No. 37 prospect in the 2018 class, according to ESPN’s rankings.
After originally verbally committing to the school in June of 2017, Williams decided to reevaluate his commitment to Arizona after a Feb. 23 report by ESPN’s Mark Schlabach that alleged Arizona head coach Sean Miller had been heard on FBI wiretaps discussing a payment to to secure the commitment of a player.
Williams never ruled out the Wildcats as his landing spot, but wanted to reopen his recruitment.
Six days before Williams’ decision, another prize recruit, Shareef O’Neal, fully decommitted from Arizona.
After having zero commitments, the Wildcats picked up four in April in Samford grad transfer and point guard Justin Coleman, Pittsburgh grad transfer and power forward Ryan Luther, four-star guard Devonaire Doutrive and Belgian forward Omar Thielemans.
Williams makes it five.
