James Harden breaks out creativity for Drive By Dunk Challenge

Aug 18, 2017, 5:10 PM

The Drive By Dunk Challenge has been same old, same old for a while now.

An athlete drives to a park or driveway, gets out of the car, dunks and runs back to the car.

Sure, some great moments have ensued, like Phoenix Suns’ Derrick Jones Jr. and Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown, but otherwise they have been getting a bit stale.

Insert former Arizona State Sun Devil James Harden to bring the challenge back to life with some creativity.

Harden was in Miami and went to a park on a speedboat. He got out, ran onto the basketball court where he dunked in the middle of a pick-up game, screamed and ran back to the speedboat.

Needing to get out of there in a hurry to complete the Drive By Dunk Challenge, hopefully Harden figured out the boat’s wheel quicker than this wheel in China.
