When looking at the Arizona Cardinals defense in 2018, Chandler Jones, Patrick Peterson and Budda Baker are the most notable names on the team.
With various position battles ongoing, Vontarrius Dora is making a case to join in the conversation with his preseason showing.
Pro Football Focus compiled a list of the top-graded preseason edge rushers who have played at least 35 snaps and Dora found himself at No. 2.
If this preseason has been anything to go by, we should expect a big second season from Myles Garrett. pic.twitter.com/DAEFLEYLVS

With a score of 91.4, Dora leads the Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett (90.6), the Indianapolis Colts’ Ryan Delaire (90.2) and the Tennessee Titans’ Harold Landry (89.7). Dora was only second to Jayrone Elliot of the New Orleans Saints (93.5).
It’s not too hard to find why the veteran lineman was included in the list.
Playing behind fellow lineman Benson Mayowa, Dora has made the most of his opportunity.
In Week 3 of preseason, Dora caused headaches for the Dallas Cowboys, sacking the signal caller three times to go with four tackles and a forced fumble.
His contributions on the line added to the Cardinals’ overall defensive showing Thursday night.
In total, the team forced eight turnovers, five fumble recoveries and three interceptions, on their way to a 27-3 drumming of the Cowboys.
